Explanation contribution choreography, theater show
For participation in the theater show, I charge a contribution per choreography.
One choreography consists of 7 additional dance classes/rehearsals specifically geared toward performance preparation. These classes are separate from the regular class schedule and require additional artistic, organizational and production commitment.
Because everyone at UDC has a different membership, this year I have chosen one average fee for all dancers. This keeps the fee fair and manageable, regardless of your subscription.
You can sign up for up to 4 choreographies. An adjusted total price may apply when participating in multiple choreographies.
This fee is deliberately lower than the regular class value and is considered a project fee, on top of your regular membership. It is therefore not possible to participate in the show without membership.
1 choreography = €5.00 per lesson (7 lessons)
2 choreographies = €4,50 per lesson (14 lessons)
3 choreographies = €4,00 per lesson (21 lessons)
4 choreographies = €3,50 per lesson (28 lessons)

The show will take place on Saturday, May 2, at De Kom in Nieuwegein. You will dance 2 times over the same show. Also the dress rehearsal will take place that day (early afternoon); convenient to take this into account. You will receive other information about the show day itself later.
You can enroll per choreography/style. You will be taught 1 choreography in 7 classes (including setups, etc.). You then train with a fixed group that has registered for that style. Most training sessions are scheduled in the regular class schedule.
Training for the show takes place in late February, in March and throughout April. Each teacher and choreography involves a total of 7 training weeks, but the exact dates may vary for each training. Therefore, please review the schedule carefully and check if you can attend all the training dates before signing up.
Of course, if you don't want to participate in the show, there are plenty of other classes to take, which you can simply sign up for each week. In the months of March and April most of the trainings will be for the show and therefore not accessible if you do not participate. These are also no longer on the class schedule during that period
No, only members with a valid membership can participate in the show. Membership must be valid both at registration and throughout the training period. Therefore, if your credits run out during the trainings, you no longer have a valid membership and unfortunately you cannot participate in the trainings. This is to keep the extra contribution and cost fair for everyone.
Therefore, check carefully when you register to make sure your membership covers the full term.
The maximum number of dancers per group is about 25 people, depending on the dance style. For modern/jazz, for example, this number is lower.
Once the maximum is reached, the group is full and registration for that style is no longer possible. Should a spot become available before the start of the classes, it will be offered to the next person on the waiting list. This person will receive an e-mail.
You can register using the registration form on our website. After registration you will receive an e-mail confirmation stating whether you have been placed in your chosen training. Placement depends on the number of registrations. If a group is full, I will gladly look for an alternative that still has room.
Once payment has been made, cancellation or refunds are not possible. Please make sure you are sure of your participation before paying.
